Trinity Arts Centre will welcome West End star Lee Mead to Gainsborough on Friday 29 October 2027 as part of his new 20th anniversary tour, The Colours of My Life.
The Trinity Arts Centre date coincides with the launch of Lee’s first memoir, also titled The Colours of My Life, bringing the story of his two decades on stage directly to audiences in Gainsborough and across West Lindsey.
The event forms part of Trinity Arts Centre’s programme of live entertainment, bringing nationally recognised performers to the council-owned venue in the heart of Gainsborough. During the show, Lee will share personal stories and perform songs from productions that have defined his career.
Lee rose to national prominence after winning BBC’s Any Dream Will Do and taking the title role in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. His stage credits since then have included Wicked, Legally Blonde, Sister Act, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago and Barnum.
His illustrated hardback memoir takes readers behind the curtain to explore the performances, people and defining moments that have shaped his life and career. It features personal photographs and a foreword by Sir Tim Rice.
The visit underlines the council’s commitment to offering high-quality arts and entertainment locally, while attracting visitors to Gainsborough and supporting the town’s cultural offer.

Lee said: “With my most intimate and personal tour ahead next year, it seemed like the ideal time to create a memoir of my career journey. It was a wonderful chance to look back over the last 20 years and appreciate how far I have come – and look at where I want to go in the future.”
The special anniversary edition will be published in December 2026. The boxed hardback includes a signed bookplate and an exclusive CD and is priced at £45.
