The Arts in Heritage programme will continue through Story Tellers, the Partnership's Arts Council England NPO programme, building on the success of its first phase and introducing new investment to help strengthen the county’s cultural and heritage sectors.
‘Arts in Heritage’ aims to support collaboration between local creative practitioners, heritage sites, organisations or places and people with heritage stories, traditions or research, to tell tales from across Lincolnshire in new and innovative ways.
The latest phase will support four heritage organisations to commission themselves, four local Artists to create new work inspired by Lincolnshire’s rich history and places.
Through a programme of workshops, mentoring and peer learning, participating heritage organisations will develop the skills and confidence to work with artists and deliver ambitious cultural projects.
Applications for heritage organisations are set to open at the end of July, with artist commission opportunities launching in September.
Delivered in partnership with A&H and Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, the programme aims to build lasting partnerships, support local talent and enable more people to connect with Lincolnshire’s unique heritage through culture and creativity.
Further details on how to take part will be announced in the coming weeks. Residents and organisations are encouraged to keep an eye on the Story Tellers website and social media channels for updates, at http://story-tellers.co.uk/ and Story Tellers Lincs on Facebook and @storytellerslincs on Instagram.
