What makes your show, your show?: Got my name in it. Chris Marsden In The Afternoon. The jingles even sing my name!
Favourite features or games to do on air?: 4 o'Clock Rock, 4 top rock tunes to get you going after your afternoon lull.
What kind of listener will love your show?: Anybody that is already loving life around here, or if they need a pick-me-up!

Their Journey

How did you first get into radio?: Long story short, it was a visit from Davey Jones from The Monkees to my school, got to chat with him on our school campus radio, and the rest is history!
What's been your path to where you are now?

The Listeners

What do you enjoy most about interacting with listeners?: I just enjoy keeping good company. That's all that matters!
A message or moment from a listener that's stuck with you?: From Mick who simply said "Don't you ever bloody stop what you're doing!"

Music and Influences

Earliest memory of listening to radio?: My mum singing on Radio 2 and winning a mug.
Biggest broadcasting influences?: Steve Wright and Bruno Brookes.
One song you'll never get bored of?: I could listen to Elton John, Song For Guy all day long!
What kind of music do you love off air?: John Barry. Always makes me cry. I just think he was so emotive. The only bloke that can make me cry without punching me!
A track that always gets a reaction on your show?: On my 4 O'Clock Rock: Guns n' Roses, Sweet Child O' Mine.

What excites you most about what we're building here?: Me giving back to the countless radio broadcasters that lost their jobs to the pen-pushers in big boy radio land!
