Today on Found It, the game where I read out a string of questions and you add up all the answers to find the total. Today the three questions were: how many bones are in the adult human body, how many squares are there in total on a standard chessboard, and how many strings does a standard concert harp have. The answers were 206, 204, and 47, giving a grand total of 457.
Two of our Magna team had a go today. Millie and Lauren both stepped up, and while Lauren was our closest staff guesser, she was, let's be honest, not exactly in the ballpark! Listener Richard in Retford, though, was absolutely spot on with 457. Well done Richard, brilliant stuff.
We also played Topical Tune, where I give you a news story and you suggest the song that best sums it up. Today's story was about a massive sinkhole opening up at Nicolas Cage's house in Malibu. The suggestions came flooding in. Chris in Lincoln went for Bernard Cribbins with Hole In The Ground, which felt very appropriate. Jenny in Grimsby offered up Supermassive Black Hole by Muse, Kelly in Branston suggested Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus, and Louren and Phil went for Erasure's Love To Hate You. Top spot though went to Jayne, who picked Deeper Underground by Jamiroquai. Hard to argue with that one.
