We kicked off a brand new guessing game this week, and it's already proving to be a cracker. The idea is simple. Every day I give you three questions with actual numerical answers, and your job is to add them all together and get as close to the total as you can.
Today's questions were: what year was Lincoln City Football Club founded? How many UK number one singles did The Beatles have? And how many rooms are there in Buckingham Palace? The answers were 1884, 18, and 775, giving a grand total of 2,677.
Now, I did have help in the studio today. Sort of. Lucy, Olivia and Millie all mysteriously forgot to come in and have a go, so at the last minute, Magna's own Chris Marsden stepped up. Chris guessed 1961. I'll leave you to work out how that went for him. Bless him for showing up, though.
Our closest listener was Carl Birkett, who went for 2,650. Very close, Carl.
We also played Topical Tune, where I asked you what song best sums up the news that all major TV networks have ended on-camera coverage of Trump. The suggestions came flying in. Tina in Grantham went for It's Good News Week, Kerry in Lincoln offered I've Gotta Get A Message To You, and Carl topped the lot with American Idiot. Hard to argue with that one.
